Craigslist Ad Has Potential Motherlode of Mopars

Man, the things you find on Craigslist. While all of the automotive hobby is infatuated with the idea of spotting a potential “barn find,” we’ve discovered a collapsed barn purportedly storing dozens of incredibly cool and very desirable Mopar muscle cars just south of Chicago, in the town of Frankfort, IL. We’re certain people have already jumped on it by the time you’ve read this post here, but we’d be remiss if we let this pass us (or your) by.

Listed as “Barn Collapse Forces Sale” with a starting price of $7,500, the Craigslist ad lists an unbelievable selection of ’68 through ’73 Mopar B- and E-Bodies, namely “’68 -’70 Chargers, ’70-’73 Challengers, ’68-’70 Road Runners, ’70-’73 ‘Cudas, ’68-’69 Super Bees, big block and 4-speed Mopars.” Although there was some choice words like “Hemi,” “General Lee,” “R/T” and even “Superbird” listed at the bottom, we can’t be certain if those were just to boost the ad’s visibility or not.

While little is known regarding the collection, the condition of the cars in question, or the certifiable nature of the sale, the ad does require “cash only” offers (ie. no trades), and asks for “serious buyers only.” So, like a starter’s pistol firing off, now is the time to call the number listed in the ad and see if your dream Mopar is sitting beneath the fallen roof of a barn in Illinois.
