In a press release on their website earlier in January, FCA (FIAT Chrysler Automobiles) shared some exciting news for potential 2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger customers!

The first piece of news they announced was the addition of a new stripe option for the SRT Hellcat models. Available as of January 2016 (now), you can choose to add dual full-length carbon-fiber pattern stripes to your SRT Hellcat Challenger or Charger. Finished with a carbon-fiber pattern, the dual stripe design covers front and rear fascias, roof and deck lid, plus a tailored design around the SRT Hellcat’s signature NACA duct hood vent to emphasize both Challenger and Charger models functional yet aggressive design.

“The SRT Hellcat models are America’s ultimate performance car duo, and these already legendary Challenger and Charger models have given Dodge more than the title of ‘fastest and most powerful muscle cars ever,’ they continue to drive sales records, increase brand profitability, draw new and younger customers to the brand and fuel interest across our entire vehicle lineup – achievements worthy of earning an exclusive set of performance stripes,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America.

Ordering for the SRT Hellcat dual body stripe is available from your dealer now with a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $995. It’s not yet announced if they will offer the option as a purchasable stripe kit from their dealership parts departments to add to your non- Hellcat Challengers and Chargers.

The next piece of news that should excite many is the announcement that Dodge is extending the run of Plum Crazy exterior paint for another month to give people more time to order their Charger or Challenger in the limited-edition high-impact hue!

Initially, ordering for Plum Crazy pearl coat was scheduled to end in December 2015, however exceptionally strong customer demand lead them to extend it. Plus, Dodge says the opportunity to pair the Plum Crazy paint option with the new SRT Hellcat stripe means dealers will be able to continue ordering the color through January!
