The VDOG Variable Angle Gear Box
It’s no secret that the popularity of custom built cars and trucks is absolutely huge. With most of these builds, large, modern engines are installed. Sometimes when installing these larges engines into tight engine bays, clearance around the steering column, steering shaft, exhaust headers and chassis has become a challenge.

Flaming River has the answer to this with their 2019 SEMA Best New Street Rod Product and Best Engineered New Product VDOG Variable Angle Gear box. The VDOG features a 35 degree variable angle and articulating ball output shaft which allows for maximum adjustment of the steering angle to the steering gear. It also features ¾” diameter, 36 spline input and output shafts for universal joint or coupler connection.

The VDOG boasts a gear driven design with no chains or sprockets for instant steering response and can be mounted at multiple vertical and inverted positions in engine bays or behind dash boards or firewalls. It’s 100% designed and made in the USA and comes in either cast (which can be powder coated to your desired color) or billet finish.

“Blank Slate” Universal Swivel Floor Mount
For quite a while now, Flaming River has proudly offered over two dozen application specific steering column floor/ firewall mounts. After listening to the needs of their custom car and truck building customers, they have just released their “Blank Slate” Universal Steering Column Floor Mount. This mount allows for adding a lower steering column mount to new firewalls, or to vehicle applications that Flaming River may not have a bolt in fitment for.

It is a standard rectangular shape with a swivel floor mount included for easy 2 inch column mounting. This “Blank Slate” design works nicely for any builders that are installing a column that would like to customize it with their own mounting holes. This product fills the gap nicely and allows for true customization.

6-Inch Machined Aluminum Hi-Rev Power Steering Pump Pulleys
Flaming River has once again added to their vast catalog of products with their new 6-inch machined aluminum pulley for power steering pumps. Larger pulleys mean a better feel and response to your power steering system. The pulleys are available in both serpentine and V-Belt designs with either a 3/4” or 5/8” bore to fit your pump shaft. They are available with a pump or sold separately.
