Gallery: Dodge Drops Details on the 2024 & 2025 Charger Lineup

Dodge introduced the next generation Charger as concept car called the Daytona SRT Banshee back in the fall of 2022 and with the debut of the production models, we learn that the design of that concept in 2022 is more or less identical to the cars headed to dealerships later this year.

Like the concept, the first 2024 Charger Daytona models are two-door coupes with battery electric drivetrains, but the BEV coupe will be joined by the Daytona BEV sedan in 2025, along with both coupes and sedans powered by the Hurricane twin turbocharged inline-six engine – all under the Dodge Charger nameplate. The 2025 model year will be capped off by the arrival of the 800V SRT Banshee model with output levels that could near the four-figure range.

The all-new Dodge Charger design stands out with a pure widebody stance.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona
The next generation Dodge Charger will be introduced for the 2024 model year in the form of the Charger Daytona BEV two-door coupe, with production beginning “mid-2024”. As explained back in late 2022, the Charger Daytona BEV coupe will be offered in two 400V trim levels, including the 340 kW R/T and the 440 kW Scat Pack models, each of which will be offered with two Direct Connection stage kit upgrade packages that lift the power output. Once the Charger Daytona lineup is complete in 2025, the R/T will be offered with 340, 370 and 400 kW packages while the Scat Pack will be offered in 440, 470 and 500 kW form.

However, when these models first go on sale later this year for the 2024 model year, the Charger Daytona R/T will come standard with the Direct Connection Stage 1 kit (370 kW) and the Charger Daytona Scat Pack will come standard with the Direct Connection Stage 2 kit (500 kW). The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust is standard on all models, with varying volume settings, including a stealth mode for those who don’t like the electronic exhaust system.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will offer a total system output (with the PowerShot system) of 496 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. Under normal driving circumstances, this car will deliver 456 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque, but the PowerShot system allows for 15 second bursts of 40 extra horsepower, leading to the total system output.

When using the PowerShot system, the 2024 Charger Daytona R/T will use the standard all-wheel-drive system to scoot from a stop to 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds, leading to a quarter mile time of 13.1 seconds and a top speed of 137 miles per hour. Charger R/T comes with five drive modes – Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow and Track.

The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will come standard with 18×8-inch silver wheels, but the Blacktop package adds “Black Noise” 20×10-inch wheels. The standard R/T brakes measure 354mm up front and 350mm out back.

All-new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack

As for the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, it will come standard with a total system output of 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, with 630 of that horsepower being available at all times while the extra 40 comes with the use of the PowerShot system. When using the PowerShot system and the high tech AWD system, the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack will sprint from a stop to 60 in just 3.3 seconds – quicker than all of the Hellcat and Redeye models from the previous era of the Challenger and Charger.

The 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack will also run an 11.5 quarter mile time, so while it is a bit slower in the quarter mile, the all-wheel-drive system will make it much easier to repeat those 11.5 quarter mile times while a rear-drive Hellcat or Redeye car requires a good launch to run quicker elapsed times. The Daytona Scat Pack has a slightly lower top speed of 134. The Charger Scat Pack comes with eight drives modes, including Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow, Track, Drag, Drift and Donut.

The all-new Dodge Charger’s dynamic, layered instrument panel and console theme are home to free-standing, wide format 10.25-inch or available 16-inch cluster screens, with a 12.3-inch center display positioned in an angled center stack that provides a unique, sculpted interior with a modern technical feel.

As you might have guessed, Drag mode optimizes performance for the best quarter mile times. Donut mode allows the car to spin the rear wheels and rotate around the front end, essentially a burnout mode, while Drift mode has three levels of slip angle, adjusting the suspension setup and the traction control system to allow forced oversteer. The Scat Pack also comes with Line Lock, Launch Control and Race Prep systems to lead to the best possible results at the drag strip.

The Daytona Scat Pack comes standard with 20×11-inch Satin Carbon wheels while the Track Pack swaps to unique “Luster” wheels that measure 20×11 up front and 20×11.5-inches out back. Those Track Pack wheels come wrapped in 305/35 tires up front and 325/5 tires out back – the biggest tire combination ever offered on a factory Dodge Charger.

The standard Scat Pack brakes feature 380mm front rotors and 360mm rear rotors, but the Scat Pack Track Pack brakes with 410mm front and rear rotors – that’s 16.1 inches – are standard on all 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack models. The Track Pack also includes dual-valve adaptive front and rear shocks, offering the sportiest ride with help from stiffer springs as well.

In terms of range, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona doesn’t rock the world, but the numbers are still pretty solid. The R/T with the DC Stage 1 kit has a projected range of 317 miles while the Scat Pack (with the DC Stage 2 kit) has a projected range of 260 miles. All 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona 400V models feature a front and rear electronic drive module (EDM) that are fed by a 100.5 kW battery pack with a peak discharge rate of 550 kW, allowing the system to make the most of the available power during a quarter mile run. When using a Level 2 charging station, going from 5 to 80% takes about 7 hours while a Level 3 charger can get up to 80% from 5% in about a half hour.

The 2025 Dodge Charger Lineup Expands
Starting sometime during the first quarter of 2025, the Dodge Charger Daytona BEV coupe will be joined by the Dodge Charger Daytona BEV sedan. This sedan will feature all of the same mechanical features as the coupe, so there will be 400V R/T and Scat Pack models with three levels of performance for each – 340, 370 and 400 kW for R/T and 440, 470 and 500 kW for the Scat Pack.

The company has only provided specifications for the 2024 Charger Daytona coupe, but the press release points out that the coupe and sedan share a wheelbase. Based on that, we expect that the two cars will have very similar dimensions and relatively similar curb weights – meaning that the sedan should offer similar performance metrics as well. In short, it seems likely that the Charger Daytona R/T sedan will run a low-13-second quarter mile time and the Scat Pack sedan will cover the quarter mile in the mid-11-second range.

All-electric, all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger Daytona models are driven by a 400V propulsion system that delivers supercharged V-8 power with zero tailpipe emissions and instant torque response. The partial vehicle image of the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack highlights the wheels, half-shafts, front and rear electric drive modules and the high voltage battery pack.

Also during the 2025 model year, the Dodge Charger Daytona coupe will be available with all three power levels across each of the two trim levels, rather than just the R/T with Stage 2 and the Scat Pack with Stage 3.

If you like the look of the 2024-2025 Dodge Charger, but you really don’t want to deal with an electric vehicle, the brand will begin building the car for you in early 2025. The 2025 Dodge Charger Six Pack will be offered as a coupe or sedan, but instead of a pair of electric motors, the Six Pack models will offer a standard output or high output version of the twin turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine.

The standard Hurricane in the Charger will deliver 420 horsepower while the high output model will pack 550 horsepower. We don’t have torque figures yet, but we know that the Six Pack models will come standard with an 8-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive, but there will be a drive mode that completely deactivates the front wheels, allowing for proper muscle car burnouts.

With a similar transmission, standard all-wheel-drive and 550 horsepower, the 2025 Dodge Charger Six Pack High Output should comfortably beat all naturally aspirated Hemi models from the prior era. Frankly, thanks to the added grip of all-wheel-drive, some stock Hellcat owners – especially those with three-pedal cars – might find the Charger Six Pack to be a tough competitor from a dig.

Finally, the brand has stated that “later” in 2025, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee will arrive with 800V architecture that will lead to the greatest level of performance. There have not been any power estimates from the company yet, but based on on the tiered performance layout of the 340 and 440 models, we expect that the Banshee will start with somewhere in the area of 700-horsepower, possibly topping out around (or maybe even over) a thousand horsepower.
