Increase Braking Power with Baer BIG Claw Rotors

Baer Brake Systems continues to develop new products for the Mopar crowd. The latest advancement is Baer BIG Claw replacement rotors for the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 (rotors for additional years and vehicles are also available). The Baer BIG Claw performance rotor upgrade is a simple, bolt-on kit that significantly improves braking performance, unleashing your truck’s full potential.

Above: The Baer BIG Claw replacement rotors increase the braking potential of your Ram 1500 truck. Each kit has oversized rotors, larger caliper brackets, and mounting hardware. The kit is a direct bolt-on that does not require opening the hydraulic system.

The kit includes a pair of one-piece rotors bigger than the stock diameter and caliper relocation brackets. The larger rotors feature added material and a curved vane design for better heat transfer and enhanced braking torque, resulting in shorter stopping distances.

Additionally, the increased mass of the rotor allows it to withstand greater heat without warping.
The directionally vaned rotors act like a centrifugal pump, maximizing the airflow for better heat dissipation and cooling. Better cooling helps reduce brake fade and provides a more consistent braking performance for towing heavy loads.

Above: The rotors are cross-drilled, slotted, and vented to minimize dust collection and route hot gases away from the rotors and pad lining.

The cross-drilling and slotting on the rotor surface provides an escape route for dust and hot gases produced during a braking event. The result is a consistent pedal feel under all types of braking conditions. Moreover, the caliper relocation brackets that properly center the factory caliper over the larger diameter rotors contribute to the consistent pedal feel.

Along with improved brake performance, the BIG Claw rotors feature a zinc-plated finish that enhances the performance and adds a touch of style to your vehicle. This improved appearance can be viewed through many production and aftermarket wheels, giving you a reason to be proud of your upgraded vehicle.

Baer offers kits for the front (part no. 2141021) and rear (part no. 2142011) axles, currently selling at $745 per pair (axle). Both kits are designed as direct bolt-on systems, ensuring a hassle-free installation that does not require bleeding the brakes to complete the job. The straightforward process allows the owner an opportunity to improve the truck with ease and confidence.

Further, Baer offers high-quality replacement Baer Claw Brake Pads (part no. D2179 (front) and part no. D2169 (rear)) separate from the rotors if the truck owner wants a pad upgrade. The pads fit into the factory calipers without any need for modification.
