Serious About Weight Loss? Shave Big With INDY’s Aluminum Maxx Hemi Block

[See what we did there in the title? “Shave big” instead of “save big?” Oh boy, we’re clever! –Ed.]

For those serious about peak Mopar performance, there’s little less that can stand up to the mighty elephant itself, the Gen II 426 Hemi. Of course, few are making earth-moving power numbers with the standard 7-liter displacement, but are now expanding via stroke and bore combinations well above 500 cubic inches (and in some cases, above 600cui).

If that’s the playground that you’re interested in entering, the INDY Maxx aluminum block comes fully machined for either wedge or Hemi engine mount bolt patterns, meaning you don’t need to have a factory Hemi K-frame. And if your plans require a lot more room for stroke clearance, the Maxx is available in deck heights ranging from 9.88″ to 10.720″ with standard or raised cam too.

Need more info? Easy, the Maxx comes with (5) steel billet cross-bolted main caps; all cam bearings and screw-in core plugs already installed; final machining including finished line hone and lifter bores; and dowels and oil gallery plugs supplied. When machined to 4.500″ bore, the INDY Maxx aluminum Hemi block comes in at 133-pounds (nearly 18-pounds less than the next-priced competitor).

Although each Maxx is setup different per the customer’s needs, the estimated price is $7,300 (add $500 to upgrade to solid block). Frankly put, the INDY Maxx aluminum Hemi block is one of the best water-jacketed blocks available today; perfectly capable of withstanding today’s high horsepower loads without an issue. For more information give INDY Cylinder Head a call at (937) 708-8563.
