It looks like once again, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) is shifting things up in a big way with their executives. We were very shocked to recently learn that Tim Kuniskis, the man that played a big part in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats, along with the Challenger SRT Demon and Durango SRT has been taken away from his role as Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America; a position he held since October 2015. Previously to that, Tim was President and CEO of the Dodge Brand and SRT Brands, FCA – North America since April 2013. Needless to say, Tim had a lot to do with the current Dodge performance vehicles that we know well and love.
It was also announced that Tim’s new position is the Head of Alfa Romeo and Maserati Brands; a big change from the high horsepower domestic performance cars he is used to. It’s a big loss to the Dodge community as Tim is a true blood Mopar fan through and through as showcased by the beautiful 1971 Challenger R/T he has in his personal garage and the passionate way he spoke about Dodge’s products.
Filling Tim’s role as the Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America is Steve Beahm who previously held the position of Head of Maserati, FCA – North America; something he only started doing in June 2017. It’s definitely an interesting time at Dodge. We are curious to see how Steve handles himself and how he directs the brand moving forward. We wish Tim the best of luck with his new position.
