As far as aesthetics go, we’ll be the first to admit that the Gen 3 (G3) Hemi isn’t exactly prom queen material right from the factory. Part of that is due to the monstrosity of a timing cover that’s super functional, but also super unsightly. With mounting provisions for the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor, it was likely designed for ease of assembly line manufacturing above all.
But what about those that don’t need some of those power-robbing accessories cluttering up the front of their G3 Hemi swap? It has provisions for an optional motor plate, fits both VVT and non-VVT engines, and can be used with most off-the-shelf mechanical or electric big block Chevy water pumps.
