In case you missed the first one, the 2nd Annual Mopar Showdown is returning to Rock Falls Raceway in Eau Claire, WI on September 26-27th.
Dan Graul, the Event Director for The Mopar Showdown, told Mopar Connection Magazine:
“Last year we had 170 drag racers, 215 show cars, 2200+ spectators, Steve Dulcich, Paul Rossi, and Miss Direct Connection. We did one day of drag racing, 2 days of the car show, autocross, burnout contest, vendor midway and swap meet.
“This year we’ve added a second day of drag racing. We have 5 classes including the Victory Nostalgia Super Stock Group. We’ve got a Ram Monster truck coming and the plan is for it to crush a couple cars. We’ve also got a wheelstander that will be making exhibition runs.
“We’ve got the two day 30 class car show, swap meet, vendor midway, burnout contest, 3S Challenge, and a Cruise and BBQ. We’ve also got Steve Dulcich attending again and Paul Rossi. In addition Geoff Turk from Blackbird Performance will be attending and be doing a tech seminar on Swapping and Racing the Gen 3 Hemi.”
For our northernmost friends, being located in Wisconsin is a godsend. Much of the year’s events cater to more southern states making traveling to attend far out of reach. Equally, The Mopar Showdown welcomes many of our Canadian brethren, seeking refuge from their maple syrup-fueled tyrannical leaders.
We at Mopar Connection Magazine are making arrangements to cover this rapidly-growing event. Graul concluded, “All in all it’s shaping up to be an even bigger and better event than last year!”
