Video: Ditch The Mechanical & Go with Silver Sport Transmissions’ PerfectFit Hydraulic Kits

It was less than a month ago that we were standing on the line at the Nashville stop of Sick Smokies when a driver had to quickly jump out of his car and reconnect the Z-bar linkage before making a pass. Albeit a small anecdote, there’s something to be said about finally accepting that some progress is a good thing and that old school mechanical clutch linkage leaves much to be desired.

Thankfully, Silver Sport Transmissions’ PerfectFit Hydraulic Kits are specifically designed to have the proper pushrod angle. “The OE-style concentric slave cylinder and the McLeod throwout bearing are built to last and offer smooth engagement,” states SST. These kits come complete, or you can cherry-pick each piece of the kit or just the master or slave kits. It’s all pretty easy. If you have any questions, call or email SST’s technical support staff.

Here’s the original press release:
We’ve completely overhauled our Hydraulics section to make finding the right parts faster and easier than ever! Whether you’re maintaining your current setup or planning an upgrade, everything you need is now right at your fingertips.

Fall is the perfect time to switch from mechanical to hydraulic clutch actuation—enjoy smoother shifts and save your knee on those mountain drives!

Explore the new layout and updated product lineup today. And as always, we’re just a call or email away if you have any questions.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our products in action! Huge thanks to “Another Guy’s Garage” for posting a fantastic video on measuring cushion depth—and for giving us a call when he had a few questions. We love being part of the process!
