Relive the Days of Vintage Drag Racing With These Retro RPM Jackets

Bring back the heyday years of vintage stock class and wild wheelstanders with these retro-styled RPM race jackets. Made completely from scratch and not some cheapo relabeling of an existing product, Merchants of Speed labored to make these jackets not only top tier quality but far superior to even the original windbreaker jackets in every possible way.

But we can’t over emphasize how cool it is that Merchants of Speed was able to secure the licensing for both Super Stock & Drag Illustrated and Orange County International Raceway, key icons of the period that gave us cross-rammed 426s, Super Stock Dodges, A/FX “altereds” and some of the biggest names in Mopar factory drag racing.

Currently, Merchants of Speed offers a red “Super Stock” and a blue OCIR RPM jacket, but there are plans for others in the near future – just so far as these sell and get the “ball rolling.” If you haven’t already, go visit Merchants of Speed and see their entire catalog of vintage T-shirts, hats, patches, stickers and more. Each goes for $119.95.

Here’s the original description:
These are NOT Shelf pulled jackets from a distributor that [we] just had a patch sewn on. [We] have worked on this project for 6 months. These jackets were created and produced from stitch one to completed item. [We] used many elements of the “Swingster” style jackets from the 1960’s and 1970’s. [We] have replicated the retro style. Period correct striping, Ring Pull zipper, Fully embroidered patch with beveled edges. Also, these are not the lightweight wind-breaker style that was available then. This is a fleece-lined, mid-weight jacket.
