See, swapping in a modern G3 (all of us at Mopar Connection hate the “Gen III” labeling and prefer “G3”) Hemi isn’t as straight-forward as some of the more popular Brand X swaps. In addition to problematic accessory locations, and things needing to be bumped or completely relocated, aftermarket serpentine belt kits are very pricey (and not to mention convoluted).
Considering that you’ve probably have a lot of cash already tied up in the new engine itself, Holley devised a clever way to retain all of your accessories without the use of expensive “bling-y” pulleys, and keep your belt tighter than other accessory drives.
