Doing a G3 Hemi Swap? Holley’s Mid-Mount Front Accessory Drive System Solves It

In a recent Facebook post, Holley commented, “Our Gen III Hemi Mid Mount Front Accessory Drive system incorporates all of the accessories into a compact layout that features a ‘bracketless’ design. Installation is straightforward and simple.” While that not might roll off of the tongue, and strike most of you like sounding like pure marketing lingo, it’s surprisingly on-the-money.

See, swapping in a modern G3 (all of us at Mopar Connection hate the “Gen III” labeling and prefer “G3”) Hemi isn’t as straight-forward as some of the more popular Brand X swaps. In addition to problematic accessory locations, and things needing to be bumped or completely relocated, aftermarket serpentine belt kits are very pricey (and not to mention convoluted).

Considering that you’ve probably have a lot of cash already tied up in the new engine itself, Holley devised a clever way to retain all of your accessories without the use of expensive “bling-y” pulleys, and keep your belt tighter than other accessory drives. How? By integrating every accessory mount into the timing cover itself! This tucks everything in tightly, leaving room between the sub-frame rails, and cuts some unneeded expenses.

The kit is beyond comprehensive, including the cast aluminum timing cover, cartridge-style water pump, SD7 A/C compressor, 6-phase alternator, Type II power steering pump with reservoir, and the crank damper. All pulleys and the belt are supplied. Even heater hose adapters, power steering to -6 AN hardline, and the alternator plug/harness are included. And yes, it also comes with two optional heater connection configurations.

Some might cringe at the $2,659.95 price tag, but remember, this includes all of your accessories. So sell off what you’ve already got and cancel that $2,000 anodized-black serpentine belt kit that you don’t need anyways. Holley’s Mid-Mount Front Accessory Drive System has it all ready and in stock, ready to ship today.
