Gallery: Beaver Springs Mopar or No Car Nationals 2025

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Beaver Springs Dragway, in Beaver Springs, PA, held its eighth annual Mopar or No Car Nationals event. To reduce interference with student graduation events and increase the car count, the race was moved up on the schedule for 2025. However, torrential rains on Friday’s test-n-tune washed out the session, and the concerns of soaking wet and muddy pits, along with Mother’s Day on Sunday, lowered the car count.

However, for those who came out, Saturday could not have had nicer weather, with a slight headwind down the strip, low humidity, and temperatures in the mid-70s. As in previous years, Butch Gummo & Surplus City and Zoo Crew Racing sponsored the event, which consisted of the Pro Mopar, Hi-Po Mopar, Cool Mopar, and Modern Mopar eliminators.

The track operator delayed the event’s start time to ensure the track was fully prepped and any water concerns had subsided. Once the action started, each class had three time shots. To fill the Pro Mopar, the fastest eight qualifiers of Hi-Po and Modern Mopar were placed on a ladder.

Once the dust settled, Tim Riggleman found himself in the winner’s circle after beating Jeff Bartholomew in a rematch of the 2024 final. John White in Modern Mopar was also a repeat winner, making it two in a row for him. In addition to the on-track action, plenty of cars represented the muscle car era in the car show.

Hopefully, the track owner and sponsors will find the best combination of classes and a more workable weekend next year to increase the car count. More importantly, with any luck, Mother Nature will spare the event from the dreaded rain and damaging winds. For other events at Beaver Springs, such as the Nostalgia Nationals and Flashback Friday, check out its schedule.
