How Would You Like to See Dodge Resurrect The Magnum?

2015

Since it’s unfortunate death after the 2008 model year, the Magnum has maintained a very strong following built up of owners and fans alike. Most owners have nothing but praise when talking about their Magnums and the market still stays strong for used examples. Numerous Facebook groups dedicated to the Magnum have thousands of followers! It’s on these groups and forums where rumors are constantly floating around about the possibility of Dodge building a new version of the Magnum.

Since around 2011 or so, tons of artist renderings have come thru the windmill every year. Some have even raised the level by creating real life versions of what they think Dodge should build. There are examples of 2005-2008 Magnums rolling around with newer different model front ends on them. One owner took his Magnum SRT-8 and custom fabricated and installed a 2012 Charger SRT-8 front end on it! Others have put 2007-2010 Charger SRT-8 front clips on theirs. For a while, numerous renderings were floating around that showed a Magnum combined with a 2012-2014 Chrysler 300 SRT-8 front end and various other tweaks.

Recently with the release of the 2015 Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models, rumors have been sparked about the possibility of Dodge building a Magnum Hellcat. Renderings have been shared around the Internet of a Magnum combined with both Challenger and Charger Hellcat parts. Another Magnum owner recently installed a 2015 Charger front end on his!

Ralph Gilles, Global President of Product Design for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (and past CEO of SRT) has hinted a few times on his Twitter and Instagram accounts to the possibility of just that! While he seems to say the chances of a new Magnum within the new few years is unlikely, the idea definitely shouldn’t be forgotten about and to keep your mind open as something may happen in the future!

Whether Dodge builds a new Magnum or not in the future, the Magnum will always live on in the hearts of it’s die-hard owners and fans. Some hope that Dodge doesn’t build a new one as it makes theirs more rare where others fully embrace the idea of a new version. Regardless, if Dodge does decide to build a new one, it’s guaranteed it will be just as awesome as it’s past brother!
