For those of us who love to go off-roading there is a new ELocker by Eaton for late model Jeeps with 35-spline axles; Jeeps 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT.
Eaton has been in business for over 100 years. They began in 1911 when Joseph Eaton decided to invest in a new idea in transportation — the first gear-driven truck axle.
Corneliu Bogdan, director, Aftermarket Sales, Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America states, “We designed this new ELocker for the hard-core off-road aficionados who are upfitting their Jeeps for extreme off-road excursions. Our new 35-spline ELocker differential for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT is designed to work with upgraded axles for serious off-road adventures, and the simple push-button operation allows drivers to quickly lock the axle to overcome the most challenging terrain.”
The Eaton ELocker is an electronic, selectable differential designed for drivers that need traction on-demand. At the flip of a dash switch, drivers can go from open to 100-percent locked sending all available torque to all wheels equally, providing maximum traction to overcome challenging terrain. Eaton claims the ELocker is “the most reliable on-demand differential, featuring selectable operation and net-forged gears for added strength”.
The ELocker is only one of the differentials in Eaton’s aftermarket portfolio. You may also be familiar with their Detroit Truetrac differentials. The ELocker can be easily installed with one of Eaton’s Master Differential Install Kits, providing in one kit, all the components needed to properly install an Eaton differential.
