As if 700-plus ponies weren’t enough, NOS is here to help the gluttons for go-fast with their new Hellcat wet nitrous systems. The sit-back-in-your-seat hit of spray can add a feisty 200 horsepower with the right complementary upgrades, putting Hellcat owners darn near toe-to-toe with their Demon kin.
Easy, bolt-on installation for 2015-2020 Challenger/Charger Hellcats as well as 2018-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawks is the goal and the kit’s completeness certainly allows for that.
A 94mm billet wet plate, mini 2-stage nitrous controller, bottle, Pro-Race solenoids, hardware, and detailed instructions are all included for a quick and comprehensive afternoon upgrade.
Color options include blue (P/N 05210NOS) or black (P/N 05210BNOS) 10-pound versions and a 12-pound, 9-ounce carbon fiber giant (P/N 05212NOS) for gorging on the good stuff.
The wet plate fits neatly between the throttle body and the supercharger to supply both nitrous and fuel on command. This is because of the system’s “wet” design in which additional fuel is added via the included solenoid when the nitrous spray is activated.
Both fuel and nitrous solenoids mount to the top of the supercharger for easy installation and serviceability.
NOS recommends that added power levels in excess of 75 horsepower use race fuel. Those that tiptoe past the 200 horsepower mark would do well to upgrade the rest of the fuel system. Either way, one to two steps colder spark plugs will help keep unintended explosions at bay.
