Fat-tired, low-slung muscle cars are an acquired taste, but what generally makes the flavor appealing is an infinite gravy boat of power and performance from a properly-built ground pounder.
Bo Schulz’s ‘68 Coronet, nicknamed “The Professor,” would be little more than a donked Dodge without Hellcat power under hood and, more importantly, QA1 suspension directing the B-body’s bounce. Both put it in the properly-built category for one simple reason: it can actually put that plentiful rubber to use.

Obviously, the supercharged G3 Hemi helps, but getting that power to pavement is a chore solely suited for QA1’s hardware. Up front is a coil-over system resplendent with tubular crossmember, rack and pinion steering, and frisbee-sized disc brakes.
Gone are always-in-the-way torsion bars, soft drum brakes, a bulky K-frame, chunky steering gear, and G3 Hemi swap mounts. QA1’s kit is largely bolt-in, ready for a modern engine swap, and adjustable in all the right places.

Bringing up the rear is their four-link coil-over setup. Here again, the OEM stuff went out the window in favor of tunable suspension and bigger brakes for what has to result in a more modern driving experience.
For some, that’s what it’s all about: state-of-the-art performance with a vintage vibe. No doubt, “The Professor” is one classy chassis and, thanks to QA1, has a long tenure in traction so it can teach any upcoming curves a lesson.
