Videos: AMD Reviews Two Mopars With a Serious Horsepower Habit

Got a rusty Mopar and unreasonable plans for the engine compartment? Great. Auto Metal Direct (AMD) can help with the sheet metal while you work out how much horsepower constitutes “enough.” After checking out these two Mopars on AMD Garage RAW at the Triple Crown of Rodding, your underhood plans might change.

JP Arrington of Rocky Mount, Virginia, wanted something different and thought, well, a Hellcat-powered 1967 Dodge D100 ought to do it. No doubt, it could scatter a few chickens on the farm with teal patina, custom body work, and big brakes. Incredibly, he and his buddies built it at home in less than 100 days. JP drives it, too, with burnout evidence suggesting those rear tires aren’t just for looks.

Then there’s AJ Buralli’s 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, “RoadGunner,” packing an all-aluminum Gen II 572-cube Hemi pushing 850 horsepower. Bright pink paint and olive-green accents make it about as subtle as open headers in the local diner parking lot at breakfast. In a nod to its roots, the vinyl top stayed, but a swanky custom interior wraps around a fully finished roll cage. No wonder this bird snagged AMD Garage’s Best Mopar award at the 2025 SEMA Show.

Whether you’re wanting to go this wild or something much more mild, AMD’s sheet metal lineup can help with a wide array of fenders, hoods, quarter panels, rocker panels, wheelhouses, floor pans, trunk floors, and roof skins to make it right. That’s plenty of fresh steel to help turn a rusty project into something worth getting greasy over.

Kent grew up in the shop with his old man and his '70 Charger R/T. His first car was a 1969 Super Bee project when Kent was fourteen. That restoration experience lead to pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a career in manufacturing. Since then, the garage has expanded to include a '67 Satellite, a '72 Scamp, and a 2010 Mopar '10 Challenger.
