American Powertrain Returns As Hot Rod Power Tour Sponsor For 2018

Each year there are different events that make the whole season worth the wait. For many enthusiasts the HOT ROD Power Tour is one of those events. The cost for attendance is relativity low but that is only possible because of awesome sponsors like American Powertrain. They will be returning as the Official HOT ROD Power Tour Bus sponsor for 2018.

When it comes to the open road and 5 and 6 speed transmissions American Powertrain has you covered. We recently talked with Matt Graves  about it the Power Tour and this is what he had to say.

“The HOT ROD Power Tour is our favorite event of the year. Its one of the best events to really get to use our 5 and 6 speed conversion kits. Unlike static car shows this show is about driving and seeing the real America small towns and sights. Over the years people would come up to our booth and go ” I just got my car built for Powertour and I realize now I need an overdrive”. We are sponsoring the the tour bus this year. Also TREMEC Transmissions will on the tour and we will have our reps working their booth as well. We got some giveaways planned out that we will be announcing later this spring before the tour. Hopefully….Project DeepDeal100 our 1965 Dodge D100 will be ready to roll. Its got an old school 331 HEMI, 5-speed, Crown Vic swap (in process). We thrashed on it last year but we ran out of time. See you out there!”

The long haul can be dreadful, but it can be much more enjoyable with an overdrive transmission. If your planning to attend this year or any other, do yourself a favor and call American Powertrain for your 5 or 6 speed kit. They have everything you will need and we promise that the fuel savings and easy highway cruising you will love the extra gears.
