In a recent newsletter, Mancini Racing – Mopar lover’s favorite all-in-one retailer of performance and hard-to-find restoration parts – announced that they’re “cleaning up our warehouse and found some parts that will soon be discontinued!” Although the initial hyperlink took you to the store’s front page, there were so unique treasures found deeper in the email blast.
Although not terribly exotic, Mancini Racing’s dual carburetor induction system includes “the Mopar Performance Street Hemi In-Line Aluminum Intake Manifold, two Edelbrock Performer Series 600 CFM Carburetors that are specially calibrated, Factory Progressive Linkage Kit, Special Fabricated Fuel Lines, Intake Gaskets and Carburetor Studs.”
For those looking to equip their Hemi with a nearly-perfect as-factory induction, this Mancini package is pretty much it. They do ask that you specify whether your car is equipped with a manual or automatic transmission when ordering. (Intake manifold bolt set sold separately.) The whole package comes in at $2,699.00 so be prepared for some sticker shock.
This last one gave us a giggle because it’s what we often joke about hearing some doofus “know-it-all” claiming to have had “back in the day.” Well, for all of you wanting to have the very best of both big block worlds, Mancini Racing does indeed have a 426 Hemi Six-Pack intake manifold for sale – but apparently, just one’s left on the shelf for $730.00, so you better act now!
Cast by Edelbrock, this Street HEMI Six-Pack Intake Manifold accepts the OEM style Holley carburetors, linkage, fuel lines, and air cleaner. According to Mancini, “This induction system works awesome on street applications and is a great alternative from the production dual-quad inline style.” Now if it only fit your uncle’s “low deck, small block Hemi” that he claims to have back in the 1980’s.
