Hot Rod Power Tour Surprises By Releasing 2027 Schedule 4 Months Early

For those paying attention, the rollout of the anticipated Hot Rod Power Tour schedule is often set around mid-to-late January, giving folks “just enough” time to call in sick or cash in all of their vacation days for June. In a surprise twist, Hot Rod Magazine and the newly minted Power FM3 event group announced bright and early the first day of SEMA that HRPT was back for 2027 and goin’ south.

In a recent Facebook post, Hot Rod Magazine announced:
The wait is over EARLY! We’re revealing the dates and route for HOT ROD Power Tour 2027 a full FOUR MONTHS ahead of schedule!

Mark your calendars for June 7–11, 2027, as we hit five incredible motorsports venues!

  • June 7 – Daytona International Speedway, FL
  • June 8 – Gainesville Raceway, FL
  • June 9 – South Georgia Motorsports Park, GA
  • June 10 – EchoPark Speedway, GA
  • June 11 – Talladega Superspeedway, AL

Five days. Five stops. One unforgettable road trip. You’ve got extra time to get those builds ready! Who’s joining us for HOT ROD Power Tour 2027?

Abandoning the prior tradition of starting where last year’s tour left off, the 2027 HRPT will skip Oklahoma City, OK, and start up in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Daytona International Speedway. From there, it’ll run up to Gainesville Raceway before tracking north into Adel, Georgia for the South Georgia Motorsports Park before hitting Hampton, GA at EchoPark Speedway then finishing at Talledega, AL.

The 5-day Power Tour promises large venues with plenty of access and parking to accommodate the ever-growing number of participants, welcoming vehicles of every make and model (and we do mean every). The Southeast is known for its heat and humidity, so if you’re considering updating or restoring your classic Mopar’s A/C system, now is a good time to get to work. You’ll need it.
