You can bolt in the best aluminum radiator on the planet and still get cooked if the rest of the cooling system is an afterthought. Cold Case knows that and their electric fans and wiring kits are the perfect teammates to turn a great core into a championship‑caliber cooling contender.
First off, these ain’t no dollar store box fans. Choose the 12‑inch (P/N FAN12) for tight clearances on street‑friendly installs, step up to the 14‑inch (P/N FAN14) for more flow and quiet cruising, or go full‑send with the 16‑inch (P/N FAN16) when your big‑inch motor needs maximum air. Each blade package is built to move real CFM without sounding like a jet engine and the housings are plenty rugged enough for repeated trips down the track.
Wiring is where builds either shine or go up in smoke. Cold Case’s fan wiring kits simplify the whole deal. The standalone version (P/N EF-1) ships with a sending unit for carbureted setups; plug it in and the fan or fans will kick on at 190F. The EFI-ready kit (P/N EF-2) does not come with a sending unit as it’s designed to be driven by an aftermarket ECU output for precise, programmable control.
It’s as simple as this: match the fan size and quantity (one or two) to your radiator core, then pick the wiring kit that fits your control strategy, and you’ve got a cooling system that behaves like it belongs on the same build sheet as your forged pistons and fat cam.
