Gallery: 2019 Nostalgia Drags at Beach Bend Raceway

We took a much needed break from the building of the “Comeback ‘Cuda” to attend the nostalgia drag races just up the road at Bowling Green, Kentucky. They always have this event the Thursday through Sunday of Father’s Day weekend. And man, what a blast!

If you have never been to this event you are missing an adventure. It has a huge car show, non-stop drag racing, swap meet, and vendor midway. Oh, and did I mention drag racing? From everyday door slammers to nitro methane front engine slingshot dragsters. Also, the number of original vintage Mopar drag cars is amazing. There is full access to the pits where you will see more blown Hemis than anywhere in the country. All for a mere $25 bucks.

This year the weather was amazing and that brought out the fans in record numbers. The high light of the event is getting to stand at the fence about 20 feet from the track and feel the ground shake as the Nitro burning beasts, blast by you some turning high fives in the quarter. As you can imagine you gotta bring ear plugs!

Here are some pictures we took at the event. We hope you enjoy all the eye candy enough so you will come on out next year! You owe it to your Mopar loving self!
