Increased Drivability Performance on Ram 1500 with DiabloSport’s Pulsar XT

If you own a 2019-2024 Ram 1500 with a 3.6- or 5.7-liter engine, DiabloSport introduces the Pulsar XT, which enhances your truck’s drivability and enjoyment. The Pulsar XT is an all-new inline module engineered to work with the factory Powertrain Control Module (PCM) without the need to unlock (or swap) the PCM.

DiabloSport’s Pulsar XT is the easiest way to disable the V8 Hemi’s Multiple Displacement System (MDS), which will eliminate the four-cylinder mode, allowing the Hemi to cruise on all eight cylinders at all times. Additionally, a built-in throttle pedal sensitivity control allows the pedal feel to be fine-tuned to the driver’s needs. It eliminates the pesky throttle lag experienced on many drive-by-wire systems.

The Pulsar XT offers seven shift-on-the-fly pedal booster programming levels, operated through the buttons on the factory steering wheel. Using a smartphone app for Android or IOS, the speedometer can be calibrated for larger (or smaller) tires, the Auto Start/Stop can be disabled, the emissions readiness monitors’ status can be checked, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read and cleared.

Additional benefits of the Pulsar XT include adjusting the threshold warning for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), adjusting the gear ratio (rolling ratio) for gearing from 2.73-5.38:1, enabling the transmission gear display when in drive mode, retaining the previous Tow/Haul Settings on each key cycle, and turning the traction control operation on/off. The Pulsar XT will operate with the E-Trq and non-E-Trq models but currently does not support paddle shifters.

The Pulsar XT is 49-state compliant but not legal for sale or use in California. Testing with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to achieve 50-state compliance is pending. After passing the CARB testing and issuing an E.O. number, the product will be updated to 50-state legal standing. California residents, please get in touch with Diablosport for a timeline and status update of the Pulsar XT.

Installing the Pulsar XT on your Ram 1500 will take about fifteen minutes. After the installation, the adjustable parameters discussed above will be realized without making any tuning changes (performance upgrades) to the factory PCM. Best of all, the Pulsar XT costs significantly less than a full-blown tuner.
