The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel is the most recent limited-edition vehicle created using a selection of products from the service, parts and customer-care brand of FCA US LLC.

If punk rock has taught us anything, it is that we should distance ourselves from the established crowd. Following the masses never required courage. Rebel forces have been called upon throughout history to right against the masses or the powers that be. This country was founded by a band of rebels largely outnumbered by British forces. While political agenda isn’t part of the plan, Fiat Chrysler America is taking on the massive truck market with a small band of Ram Rebels for 2016.

Ram trucks announced plans to sell only 500 special edition Ram Rebel 1500 trucks for the 2016 production year. This run of Rebel trucks may be short in number but they are sure to pack a punch. These numbered special edition Ram Rebel trucks will begin life in Warren, Michigan as Ram 1500s. All Rebels will be 4×4 crew cab models.

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel’s aluminum, dual bezel sport performance hood is embellished with a matte-black hood graphic.

Since its inception, the Rebel model truck has been for the more rugged of truck owners. These new models highlight off-road inspired styling cues with bulging fender flares to make way for aggressive tires and custom Rebel exclusive 17” wheels. The ’16 Rebel trucks receive addition skid plates for offered protection and get a rugged black skid under the front bumper in lieu of the older Rebel’s brushed aluminum skid. Every model will be equipped with a spray on bed liner and a folding three piece bed cover to keep items secure.

Adding to the uniqueness of these 500 trucks only two paint schemes will be offered; a Flame Red/Brilliant Black two-tone or an all Brilliant Black. These color schemes should give the new Rebels distinct sinister looks. Included in the $52,000 starting price is an “owner’s kit” that will give purchasers some Ram merchandise and some specific documentation to their truck. With all the perks to these special edition Ram Rebel trucks the question has to be asked, “Who will join the Rebellion?”
