Those that are fans of the Dodge sponsored NHRA Dodge HEMI Challenge will be excited to know that the event will be returning to the NHRA U.S. Nationals for the 18th consecutive year! The event is scheduled to take place August 30-31st, 2018 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the famous 1968 Dodge Dart and Plymouth Barracuda Super Stock cars that will be competing head-to-head in the event.

As mentioned, the NHRA Dodge HEMI Challenge showcases Super Stock/A-HEMI (SS/AH) NHRA Sportsman class competitors battling on the quarter-mile in 1968 Dodge Dart and Plymouth Barracudas. On the line will of course be bragging rights along with a unique 42.6-lb trophy. All 16 drivers to reach the elimination rounds will receive cash rewards, including the ultimate prize of $15,000 to the winner of it all.
