Aside from the road, the instrument panel of a vehicle is one of the utmost important focuses of any driver. Keeping a constant meter on all things important, a good set of dash gauges can forewarn impending doom like a drop in oil pressure or help keep a lead foot off of the accelerator via an ever-watchful speedometer.
If you’re going to spend so much time looking at this thing that is so critical, then that dash needs to function flawlessly while being visually appealing as well.
Redline Gauge Works (RGW) in Santa Clarita, CA specializes in both. While they’re certainly well-versed in OEM gauge panel restorations, their talents also include any kind of custom instrumentation you could think of.
One good example is the new Dakota Digital VHX E-Body Rallye replica instrument panel. This project started as a collaboration with Dakota Digital to fabricate a custom gauge cluster for guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s latest Pentastar project, a 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda convertible.
Of course, a standard set of gauges wouldn’t do, so RGW helped design a custom set with Kenny Wayne’s logo, electric stepper motor internals, programmable electronic gauges, and modern LED illumination.
The resulting gauge set was such a fabulous piece that RGW and Dakota Digital will be offering them to the public, albeit without Kenny Wayne’s logo. For a limited time, this instrument panel will be available for $980 plus shipping. Give Redline Gauge Works a call at (661) 259-8891 for more information and be sure to follow along with Kenny Wayne’s ‘Cuda progress.
Hi , was interested in knowing what cost I would be looking at to re- do my clock from a 1970 cuda rallye dash? Both options please , quartz or stock if you do. Also do you rebuild mine or use mine as a core exchange? ( mine is mint just wont run all the time). Also turn around time. I am asking from Vancouver Canada. Please let me if you need more info.
Thanks, Bruce
