Reilly Motorsports Outfits Wild Lime Light Green Hemi ‘Cuda

OK, to be fair the series of posts made to Reilly Motorsports’ Facebook account are several months old, but chances are many of you did see the updates – and they’re certainly worth seeing! Per the posts, this gorgeous ’71 ‘Cuda has been a labor of love for several years, recently getting outfitted with an aluminum Keith Black Hemi backed by a stout 18-spline A-833 4-speed spinning a McLeod clutch kit.

Although a factory big block/4-speed car, changes were made to really step up the Plymouth’s overall prowess [how’s that for illiteration? –. Married to the idea of big performance and lightweight, the customer took this E-body to RMS for a complete coil-over conversion. The hefty factory K-frame was swapped for a boxed-in front end AlterKation cross member designed to fit the big Hemi.

RMS wrote, “Hemi mounts are a direct fit onto the KB block and put the engine right back in the stock location, even the old fully welded exhaust lined up perfectly.” A modern rack-and-pinion replaced the heavy steering box and linkage, and state-of-the-art coil-over shocks remove the need for heavy torsion bars. Tubular upper and lower arms offer much more rigidity and strength.

The rearend got the same degree upgrades as well, stating: “Oversize chromemoly ends are greasable with delrin races so they can take a beating without transmitting excessive vibration into the car.” The RMS kit offers far more adjustability for those looking to properly dial-in their suspension, whether for aggressive track use or superb street handling.

Lastly, RMS offers customers superior service by providing customized solutions when required, “Worth noting, this customer asked us to order new wheels during the install because the ones he bought rubbed the fenders. But contrary to what the internet says, we actually narrow the track width, so now he has an inch of clearance and can keep these wheels.”

If bringing your classic Mopar into the 21st century sounds like an appealing prospect to you, make sure to give Reilly Motorsports (RMS) a ring. Decades of success doesn’t come to those who don’t earn it, and RMS is worthy of every inch of praise they get from thousands of very happy customers.
