Using the same high-performance all-wheel-drive system as found in the Charger AWD, this technologically advanced system includes an active transfer case and front-axle disconnect for excellent all-season performance without hurting the wallet at the gas pumps. The GT AWD’s all-wheel-drive system seamlessly transitions between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive with absolutely no driver intervention needed!
Under normal driving conditions, the front axle is disengaged and 100 percent of the engine’s torque is directed to the rear wheels allowing it to give you the outstanding fun-to-drive performance and handling of its RWD sibling. When the weather gets nasty outside, its equipped sensors indicate the need for additional traction and tells the system to engage the front axle giving you that extra needed traction. Enhanced with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), VDC provides excellent traction on slippery surfaces and also helps the driver maintain the desired vehicle path. It really is the best of both worlds!
Powered by Dodge’s proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, it gives you 305 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 268 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm to blast thru that snow like a polar snowcat! Sorry V8 fans, there will be no HEMI option available for the GT AWD. If you want one, the V6 is your only option. With the standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, the GT AWD offers up an estimated MPG of 18 city and 27 hwy.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD has a starting U.S MSRP of $33,395 + $1,095 destination charge. With production beginning in January, GT AWD is scheduled to arrive at Dodge dealerships nationwide in the first quarter of 2017.
