The current generation of Dodge Viper is anything but a slouch. With an all-aluminum 8.4 litre V10 pumping out 645 horsepower (@ 6150rpm) and 600 ft-lbs of torque (@ 4950 rpm), it gets you from 0-60mph in a stunning 3.2 seconds. The Viper has always been known to push the envelope since its release however there’s always somebody out there aiming to raise the level up one more notch.
There is a company called D3 Performance Engineering based out of Houston, Texas and they’ve set out to do exactly that. They’ve set up their Viper F1X Supercharger System for the current generation 5 of Viper (2012-2015) and the numbers do the talking. With some basic testing of the supercharger system using the stock fuel pump and stock ECU, they managed to lay down a solid dyno pull of 754 wheel horsepower and 713 wheel ft-lbs of torque at only 7 psi of boost! The whole system is tuned by a HP Tuners tuning programmer.
For the kit which includes install and dyno tuning, comes to a grand total of $17,500 U.S. They are currently working on upgrading the ECU and a few other minor tweaks to produce even bigger numbers so keep your eyes on their Facebook page for that!
