Coker Tire Teams Up With Mecum Auctions For 2018

Coker Tire has has teamed up with Mecum Auctions this year in an exclusive partnership that means Coker Tire has a booth at every Mecum event in the United States. Much of the classic muscle that makes its way across the auction block is rolling on Coker rubber, so the pairing is a perfect fit.

Speaking of Mecum, the top three sellers of their most recent Louisville auction were all Mopar! A TorRed 2018 Demon with just 35 miles took top honors at $132,000. This red devil was decked out with the comfort group, red seat belts, a blacked-out hood and the seldom-seem power sunroof option.

The silver medalist was another ’18 Demon, this one draped in Pitch Black with just 14 miles. The contrasting bright red interior made for quite the stunning color combo. It hammered for $123,750. That’s pretty strong collector money for cars with a factory MSRP starting at $83,295.

Third place was a 1969 Hemi GTX for a respectable $100,100. Even with a non-original color and a not-quite-concours restoration, this factory Hemi/4-speed car was still able to bring six figures. It was purportedly one of just 98 hardtop, 4-speed cars made in ’69. Take note of the reproduction red-line rolling stock, readily available from the guys and gals at Coker Tire.

Stop by the Coker Tire booth at Mecum Dallas (October 3 – 6), Chicago (October 25 – 27), Davenport (November 8 – 10), Las Vegas (November 15 – 17), or Kansas City (December 6 – 8).
