Divorce is never fun as it’s often a very nasty and long fight. For some car guys, it can turn into a total nightmare; especially when their cars are dragged into it. One case of this comes courtesy of Barnfinds.com and their reader John W. who came across this 1968 Dodge Charger while at a gas station. What caught his attention was for sale signs taped to the body and big words stating “court order sale” and “divorce” written on the paint with washable paint marker.
The owner apparently bought this Charger when he was 16-years-old, in fact it was his very first car. Based on what we see in the pictures, he is now 55-years-old and is currently in the middle of a nasty divorce thanks to his wife cheating on him and due to a court ordered sale, he is now being forced to sell his pride and joy. We truly feel for this guy.
In one picture, we see the court order where it states the Dodge must be sold within 30 days and all funds from the sale are to be split between the parties. If it’s not sold within 30 days, it’s to be sent to auction where it will be sold to the highest bidder.
It’s just darn depressing. We here at Mopar Connection couldn’t imagine going through something like that however it’s a sad reality a lot of people face at some point in their lives. If you are interested in giving this poor Charger a good home, you can email the seller Alfred here. He is located in Pearisburg, Virginia.
