If you’re a fan of Mopar Connection Magazine and our YouTube channel, you’ve likely picked up on the fact that we’ve been beating our brains out to get our 1970 Plymouth Fury III convertible “Marsha” ready for this year’s Hot Rod Power Tour. Celebrating 100 years of Route 66, this year’s tour looks to be a big one – and we’re aiming to do things a little differently than before.
In previous years, Mopar Connection departed on Power Tour with a group of fellow magazine contributors, co-hosts and other project cars that you’ve seen in articles and videos. Well, this time around we’re meeting up with all of you and joining the crowd as a spectator and participant instead of a presenter! Yup, we’re going along with the flow on this one!

First, we’re inviting anyone looking to drive up to Joliet, Illinois, by way of Nashville, Tennessee, to stop in and meet us at Cracker Barrel in Franklin, KY (155 Steele Rd, Franklin, KY 42134) between 7:30 and 8:30am CST on Sunday, June 7th. We’ll be leaving at 8:30am sharp up a leisurely interior corridor route to early check-in/registration and you can come with us!
Next, we’ll also be joining The Auto Archaeologist himself, Ryan Brutt’s MoPowered Tour too! Check it out HERE and HERE. Ryan’s MoPowered Tour piggybacks off of the Power Tour and adds in some fun stops, neat diversions, great meals and some extra shenanigans to keep things fresh. Yes, you still get your badges stamped, but they spend a lot less time at each venue.
