BMR Suspension was one of the very few to adopt the LX and LC Mopar platform. When everybody else was trying to eke out just a little more horsepower out of the early Gen III Hemis, BMR was getting 300’s, Magnums and SRT8 Chargers to handle corners and maneuver around cones. So to say BMR “speaks Mopar” is an understatement.
Hotchkis Sport Suspension was the only performance performance suspension brand to truly consider the actual architecture of the Mopar unibody. While others tried to force A, B and E-bodies to do things that they were never meant to, Hotchkis was emphasizing these chassis’ strengths. Hotchkis showed us that torsion bars and leaf springs could shine when tuned properly.
Now BMR has acquired Hotchkis. Mopar Connection was told that employees will remain at Hotchkis’ North Carolina facility for the next 3 months before all production will be moved south to BMR’s recently expanded Florida headquarters; but we’re glad to see it remain within the United States and more excited to see BMR’s Mopar catalog of products rapidly expand to include the full Hotchkis’ TVS (Total Vehicle System) packages.

BMR Suspension is proud to announce the acquisition of Hotchkis Sport Suspension, bringing another highly respected name in performance suspension into our growing family of brands.
For more than three decades, Hotchkis has helped redefine what enthusiasts expect from American muscle, building a reputation for premium performance suspension products, innovative design, and a genuine passion for making cars handle.
As BMR Suspension President Allan Miller shared, bringing Hotchkis together with BMR Suspension and Heidts Suspension creates a “unique synergy among three highly respected performance suspension brands” while building a stronger platform centered on premium products and American manufacturing.
For John Hotchkis, this announcement represents the next chapter of a journey that began with what he calls the “crazy idea more than three decades ago that muscle cars should actually handle.” That idea grew into a respected performance brand, a passionate community, countless track days and autocross events, and decades of memories throughout the automotive aftermarket.
John reflected that Hotchkis helped “change what people expected from American muscle” and expressed his gratitude to the employees, customers, dealers, suppliers, friends, and enthusiasts who helped make that vision possible.
Looking toward the future, John also shared his excitement to see Allan Miller and his son, Allan Miller III, build on the Hotchkis legacy and take the brand to even greater heights. That trust carries significant meaning as BMR takes responsibility for the next chapter of a brand with more than three decades of history behind it.
The addition of Hotchkis to the BMR family further strengthens a growing portfolio of performance brands that also includes Alston Racing, Carlyle Racing, Chassis Engineering Inc., and Control Freak Suspension.
