If you were concerned whether RMS (Reilly MotorSports) triangulated 4-bar rear suspension system could hold up to the rigors of hard launch after hard launch, a Facebook post by Nicholas Iwanec should assuage any questions. Back in August 2023, Iwanec wrote:
For those concerned about front travel on a RMS kit for A body and Cal-Tracs it was the best investment done, the kit was complete, well manufactured and very straight forward to install, couldn’t be happier with the kit and the room it opened up underneath. Awesome product.
Additionally, Iwanec uploaded three images of his Plum Crazy Dodge Dart Swinger yanking the front wheels well into the air. Equipped with RMS’ Street-Lynx coil-over conversion kit, Iwanec’s Dart remains highly competitive and more importantly, consistent.
For those sick of wrestling with axle wrap, RMS’ coil-over swaps eliminate this by replacing the sprung steel leaves with adjustable coil-over shocks and rigid 4-links.
RMS writes, “By separating the locating system from the spring, it’s possible to drastically improve geometry, traction, and handling while using a much lighter spring and shock to provide excellent ride quality and wheel control. Our system requires no cutting to weld in a single crossbar between the factory frame rails.”
