A Closer Look at Holleys Sniper Fabricated & Race Series G3 Hemi Intakes

Holley Sniper EFI recently introduced their new line of intake manifolds for the Gen III Hemis. You have a choice of a Fabricated Intake Manifold or the Race Series Fabricated Intake Manifold. These manifolds (race/off road usage only) provide a cost-effective alternative to the high-performance sheet metal-type manifolds, yet each manifold is precision fixture welded, which offers supreme structural reliability and a perfect fit.

There are several similarities between the Fabricated Intake and the Race Series Fabricated Intake manifolds. Each accepts a 90mm 5.7L, 6.1L, or 6.4L drive-by-wire throttle body. Both manifolds are CNC machined with 1-1/8-inch billet aluminum cylinder head mounting flanges, and each has manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor provisions.

Above center: The dual pattern throttle body mount accepts either a factory 90mm 5.7L, 6.1L, or 6.4L drive-by-wire throttle body or a larger 92mm GM LS bolt-pattern throttle body designed for a cable-operated throttle. Above right: The race series manifold utilizes 13/64-inch aluminum sheet with fully welded runners and has an operating range of 2100-8200 RPM.

Both manifolds include a 3/8-inch black anodized fuel rail kit and the manifolds are finished in a stunning black or natural silver color. The fuel rails and the manifolds are laser etched with the Sniper EFI logo. Lastly, each manifold comes with flange O-rings, a throttle body O-ring, vacuum fittings, and all the required mounting hardware.

There are a few differences between the two manifolds. The Fabricated Intake Manifold has an option for a 92mm GM LS bolt-pattern cable operated throttle body. The Fabricated Intake Manifold is a 100% TIG welded 1/8-inch T6061 aluminum sheet construction, while the Race Series Manifold utilizes 13/64-inch aluminum sheet with fully welded runners (inside and outside).

Because of the robust design of the Race Series Manifold, it is designed for power adder or boosted engine combinations. The power range of the Fabricated Intake Manifold is 1800-6400 RPM, and the Race Series Manifold has a higher range of 2100-8200 RPM. The overall intake height is 7-inches for the Fabricated Intake Manifold and 8-inches on the Race Series Manifold. For more information about either manifold, contact Sniper EFI.

There is a MAP sensor provision on each manifold. Both manifolds include a 3/8-inch black anodized fuel rail kit and are available in a black or silver finish.
