Classic Instruments has introduced a new dash insert kit for 1970–’74 Dodge Challengers combining Classic Instruments gauges with a molded instrument panel from Classic Dash. The all-inclusive package provides the components needed to update the vehicle’s instrumentation while retaining compatibility with the factory fuel-sending unit.
The molded panel accommodates a 3 3/8-inch speedometer and tachometer, along with 2 1/8-inch fuel, oil pressure, volt and temperature gauges. The speedometer and tachometer feature Classic Instruments’ Zeus Speedometer Technology (ZST), simplifying calibration and allowing the instruments to accept signals from a pulse generator, vehicle speed sensor or engine control module.
Halo turn signals and a blue high-beam indicator are integrated into the speedometer and connect through its ZST wiring harness. The package also includes an SNMPNF sending unit kit, while the 75–10-ohm fuel gauge is designed to operate with the vehicle’s factory fuel-sending unit.
A universal wiring harness provides compatibility with Classic Dash assemblies. For vehicles equipped with a Holley ECU, an optional Zeus-Link interface allows a direct connection between the ECU and the gauges.
The six-gauge set and Classic Dash insert are packaged together in a single box and shipped unassembled. Additional bezel, lens, pointer, panel-finish and gauge-face options are available by special order.
