Flaming River Expands Steering Wheel Line Into Mopar Tuff Wheels

Mopar fans, it is time to celebrate. Flaming River recently expanded their outstanding line of steering wheel products to include the much coveted Mopar Tuff Wheel steering wheel. The Flaming River Tuff Wheel is an authentic reproduction of the steering wheel found on the 1971-1973 Dodge Challengers and Plymouth ‘Cudas.

The Flaming River Tuff Wheel has dimensions that are interchangeable with the original factory steering wheel. The reproduction is a 14-inch wheel with a three-spoke dished center design. The spokes and center mount are CNC laser-cut to the original factory specifications for an authentic look and precise fit. The reproduction wheel has all the correct features, markings, and, just like the factory wheel, comes in a satin texture. If a Tuff Wheel with polished spokes is desired, Flaming River will have one available soon. Regardless of the finish, each wheel is wrapped with hand-stitched Italian leather that comes in either black or tan.

Like the factory wheel, Flaming River designed their Tuff Wheel to work with the original horn mount and button assembly, and it will mount to the factory canister-style column. There are options for a reproduction horn cover or a polished billet horn cap. If a Flaming River or an aftermarket column has been installed in place of the factory column, Flaming River offers steering wheel adapters of different heights that will provide a finished installed look.

If you are in need of a new Tuff Wheel for your E-body or desire to add one to your A- or B-body, give Flaming River a call or check out their website for more information.
