QA1’s Levels of Handling Packages for Mopars

Many of us have grown up with or around muscle cars of the 70s. There is no denying the power, feel and smell of a ’70s era muscle car, especially a Mopar. One thing we can all agree on is the suspension was not a high priority for any manufacturer in that time period. Whether it was normal daily driving or trying to keep it straight and off the wall at the drag strip, there was definitely a lack of handling and our Mopars were no exception to the rule. That rule has since been broken by QA1 who now offers multiple solutions for our beloved ill handling Mopars. They offer Mopar specific Handling and Drag racing kits for our A, B or E-bodies.

If your looking to carve some corners on the track or just looking for better driving experience than the Mopar Handling kit is for you. The handling kits come in 3 different levels. Handling Level 1 offers tubular upper arms, front and rear non-adjustable Stock Start shocks, dynamic strut rods, camber bolts, and tie rod sleeves. Stepping up to the Level 2 adds in tubular K-member, tubular lower arms, torsion bar adjusters, front sway bar, and single adjustable Stocker Star Shocks for better handling and lighter front end. The 3rd and ultimate level includes everything from the previous kits and steps up the shocks to their ultimate double adjustable Stocker Star shocks to dial in your Mopar to the exact grip and ride quality you desire.

For those that live life a quarter mile at a time, they offer 2 levels of Mopar Drag Suspension kits. The Level 1 kit includes lightweight tubular arms, a tubular K-member, dynamic strut rods, torsion bar adjusters, camber bolts, tie rod sleeves, front “R” series drag shocks and rear single adjustable shocks. If you opt for the Level 2 you’ll receive all of the components in Level 1 with the added bonus of double adjustable Stocker Star shocks. This combines all the necessary components to lighten up the front of your Mopar and better control your car on hard launches at the drag strip.

The one major difference between A-Bodies kits and the B/E bodies were the option of a rear 6-link system. This is an option in both the top tier packages for the Handling and Drag suspension kits. This is an incredible bolt in tubular rear setup for Darts, Dusters, Demons and other A-Body Mopars that really grips the street or track. We are sad not to see this available for B/E bodies but hope that QA1 expands the 6-link system for the other body styles in the future.

Again whether you’re a hard-core drag racer or looking to hit the autocross, QA1 delivers big with their simple handling kits. With multiple options to choose from and multiple price points they have something to fit everyone’s needs. Give the experts a call and let them get you hooked today.

Gavin grew up around Mopars in his lakeside home in Ohio, his father showing him nearly everything he needed to know about haulin' some serious rear in his '72 Dart Swinger. Since then, he's made his little A-Body a serious autocross contender and regularly shows the modern boys how an old Dart does it!
