In the month leading up to SEMA, our friends at Silver Sport Transmissions have made two very big announcements regarding the future of their PerfectFit Transmission Kits. The first being the partnership with TCI Auto to provide SST’s awesome A41 Overdrive Automatics with the latest in top-of-the-line electronic control over shift points, shift firmness and shift speed – by offering the EZ-TCU Overdrive Transmission Controller for all A41 Overdrive Automatic 4-speeds kits.

Mopar Connection Magazine spoke with Jack Silver, President of Silver Sport Transmissions, who said, “SST’s VP of Engineering and Operations, Dick McCord, and I recently visited TCI to see their facilities and check out the EZ-TCU. We were very impressed with the ease of installation and performance of the unit. It is a great choice of controller for our A41 Automatic Transmission. Our customers will receive the system already programmed for their cars. If they want to modify any settings, they can plug their handheld remote into the system and enter the new settings. We are confident this will greatly improve the installation experience for our customers.”

Those familiar with the EZ-TCU already know that it comes fully configured and ready to run right out of the box – meaning that there’s no tuning necessary. But again, for those who gotta have the option for customization, the unit is also fully programmable based on load, speed and RPM, through a hand-held remote. There’s no software, laptop or experience required to tune the EZ-TCU, and it comes ready to roll with multiple shift modes (including a full manual mode) already programmed in it. And for those equipped with FAST EZ-EFI or EZ-EFI 2.0, the EZ-TCU plugs right into the TPS sensor, requiring zero splicing. Next, Silver Sport Transmissions is now offering Dynotech driveshafts for all of their conversion kits. The move came in response to so many customers running high powered engines requiring SST’s cryogenic gear treatment to increase torque capacities. This, in turn, made SST need to seek out a supplier who could meet these demands. With a glowing recommendation from Tremec, SST turned to Dynotech.
