Videos: BMW M5-Powered ’68 Dodge Charger Drift Car In Action

Waaay back in July 2017, we shared a very weird but very interesting Charger build over in France. As we reported, some folks over the water in Cologne, France took a 1968 Dodge Charger and turned it into a full purpose built drift car for the “Assassin’s Drift” team.

Alexandre Claudin is the builder and owner of the Charger. He started by reinforcing the entire body and then dropped a BMW E39 M5 S62B50 V8 engine into the engine bay that is backed by a full Porsche Cayenne drivetrain. On the inside, he installed a pair of Sparco racing seats, a Sparco steering wheel, Wilwood pedals and a custom fabricated multi-point roll cage.

He then took the Charger and put it one step even further over the top by putting an oversized version of a Daytona Charger wing on the back! We promised to share some videos of this beast in action when we first reported about it and we like to keep our promises! It’s pretty cool seeing a big beast of a Charger being drifted around tight streets! Enjoy!

On Christmas of 1998, Cody's parents gave him a rusty '69 Charger shell that his father saved from a field. Cody's garage still features that '69 Charger as well as the additions of a '71 Charger R/T, '71 Super Bee, '73 Duster, '08 Challenger SRT8 and a '13 Ram 3500. Cody can truly and proudly say that he is a true Mopar nut in love with all types of Mopars!
