Borgeson Universal Acquires JJ’s Rods E-Z Firewall Boots

It’s understood what makes a custom-built or beautifully-restored project car a thing of admiration is not having the shiniest paint or even the most powerful engine beneath the hood, but rather the little things. The studious observer will recognize the small bits of attention that certainly take up extra time, effort, skill and patience. It’s the little details that make a custom car a masterpiece and we all kinda know it.

So when Borgeson Universal Company acquired JJ’s Rods E-Z Firewall Boots back in October, some failed to see the connective tissue tying the two companies together. Yes, Borgeson is known for its power steering pumps, boxes and shafts, so offering a firewall boot to seal up the whole made sense; but in a bigger scope, what Borgeson was doing was expanding its ability to offer a clean and comprehensive steering solution.

These column boot and column mounting systems offer superior sealing and aesthetics than the foam gaskets and stamped plates that came from the factory. If you’re looking for a custom look and superior weather sealing, this is it. Current Mopar specific applications are limited to ’67-to-’76 A-Bodies (including plate, boot and mounting options) and ’87-to-’95 Jeeps. Additional information on these products can be found at the links above.
