Flaming River’s Microsteer Takes Home A Massive Award At SEMA360

The 2020 SEMA show ended up going virtual in the form of SEMA360 this year, but that didn’t stop judges from recognizing the industry’s latest and greatest products. Flaming River Industries got in on the fun with their Microsteer electric power steering kit garnering the Best New Street Rod/Custom Car Product award.

The Microsteer kit (P/N FR40200KT) is one of the most comprehensive universal power steering retrofits available with a motor/gearbox, electronic control unit, tuning box, wiring harness, and speed sensor all included in one simple part number. Its compact size makes it able to fit under most dashes for a stealthy installation that can add a ton of road feel and versatility while ridding users of horsepower-robbing hydraulic power steering pumps.

Furthermore, their proprietary tuning box is unique in that it uses the wheel speed signal to automatically adjust the amount of assistance. The result is easy peasy parallel parking that tones itself down at cruising speed for proper road feel. It allows the driver to get the best of both worlds without the fluid-dripping mess of a traditional power steering unit.

If you haven’t seen it already, check out Flaming River’s completely revamped website with a fresh look, easier navigation, and shopping categories for things like new arrivals and clearance items. Their full catalog can be viewed online along with the latest news and tech tips. Online deals are posted right there in plain sight, so it’s pretty simple to steer yourself towards some savings.
