Few things are more awe-inspiring than popping the hood of an old Mopar to be greeted by a big oval Six Pack air cleaner. Some would say that a trio of Holley carburetors is the perfect air/fuel mixing system, but FiTech and Mancini Racing might slightly disagree. Mancini’s 440 Six Pack EFI kit (P/N MREFIT6-B) is the latest and greatest evolution of that famous induction that debuted in mid-1969, but now it’s gotten even better. Gone are the days trying to get three cantankerous carbs to play nice with each other. This EFI system is six barrels of self-learning, plug-and-play drivability.
Included in the kit are the FiTech throttle body injection setup, an aluminum Edelbrock Six Pack intake manifold for RB blocks (413/426W/440), a throttle cable bracket, linkage, fuel lines, and carb studs. FiTech’s portion of the kit, the Go EFI Tri-Power system, is good for up to 600 horsepower and comprised of three gold-finished aluminum throttle bodies, a compact external ECU, a hand-held controller, a throttle position sensor, and a wide-band O2 sensor. As with many FiTech products, the throttle bodies utilize annular discharge technology to improve fuel atomization.
The appropriate throttle cable (P/N MRECC-369) is Six Pack-specific and available separately. Correct air cleaner filter elements (P/N MRE2946186) are also available, as is an air cleaner kit (P/N MOPP4529057AE) that includes a Six Pack base, lid, gaskets, studs, and wingnuts.
