For many, getting their restored Mopar looking “just right” includes having the perfect-looking, period-correct oil filter on their powerplant. This wasn’t such a chore a few decades ago when you could find a few remaining NOS replacements on some dusty parts shelves but those days are long behind us.
Thankfully, Mancini Racing came through clutch in a big way by offering these official Mopar-approved replacement filters that not only look right, but actually provide top quality oil filtering performance. How? Per a recent Facebook post made to Mancini Racing’s page, these filters are each made by WIX.
“Mopar Restoration Oil Filters have been MIA for over two years,” according to Mancini’s post but thankfully they’re back in stock so you better jump and order yours today! Whether you’re needing one for all 1967-71 Chryslers or ’72 And newer Mopars, Mancini Racing has you covered.
I got one and compared it to my old one. Researched them both comparing the insides.
My old one bought two years ago is confirmed to be a wix filter. The new one being produced is an STP filter….
Not saying it’s not as good… just saying it’s not a wic
