It’s no secret that lots of hot rodders like running Holley-style 4150 carburetors, high rise intake manifolds and carb spacers. Whether you’re using one, two or all three of these items, the bottom line is that your throttle cable setup can (most likely will) be affected. Some people choose to run a large billet aluminum bracket to accommodate the changes, but some of us would prefer something a little sleeker and more factory-looking.
With a little research we found a much better option (in our opinion): Mancini Racing offers an array of sleek brackets that fit our needs. Our small block runs a Trick Flow Trackheat intake manifold, Holley-style 4150 carburetor and 1-inch spacer. Mancini Racing’s Throttle Return Kit (PT# MREAR027) and Throttle Bracket Kit (PT# MREAR004) worked perfectly for us.
The throttle cable bracket clamps onto the throttle cable, and allows you to pivot the bracket to get it in line with your carburetor linkage. The throttle return spring bracket fits similar to OEM style bracketry and offers multiple mounting holes for the springs. These same brackets are available for almost all Mopar engine families via the Mancini Racing website!
