As if 700-plus horsepower wasn’t enough, DiabloSport has recently added tuning support for 2021 Ram 1500 TRX and Dodge Durango SRT Hellcats. Since the 6.2L Hemi was introduced in 2015, DiabloSport has, without a doubt, been a leader in pushing the envelope of this elephant-sized engine.
For these models, both the Trinity 2 Platinum (P/N 9323-BR) and inTune 3 Platinum (P/N 8323-BR) product lines are able to tighten the supercharger’s screws. The inTune’s relatively compact size and price point are both great for those that are looking for some stealthy gains. The Trinity 2, on the other hand, is an in-cabin tuner with a massive touch screen interface.
Regardless of hardware, the 93-octane tune on their test TRX netted an additional 38 rear-wheel horsepower and 28 lb-ft of torque. On a 0-60 run, that equates to a pickup of three-tenths of a second. One could argue that the speedy didn’t need more speed, but we certainly wouldn’t turn it down.
Other features include the ability to disable traction control, adjust cooling fan temperatures, set rev limiter and idle speeds, reset tire size, and improve throttle response. Both packages include a one-time powertrain control module (PCM) swap to keep the embedded security satisfied.
