Hughes Engines Tech Center: Updated Hours, Changes to Services, Etc.

While the team at Hughes Engines has been a staple of Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler performance parts for more than five decades, a few changes are in order to keep them firing on all cylinders. First off, hours of operation are getting a facelift.

The shop is now closed on Wednesdays, but fear not as the crew is still spinning the Mopar yarn on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8AM to 4PM central time. For those wanting to place orders over the phone after an ear full of expertise, make sure to dial in during this time to get the auditory octane you desire.

The heavy lifting is also be getting lesser:

We will no longer be in the engine block machining and CNC cylinder head work. We WILL, however, continue to make and offer specialized operations such as; stroker kit balancing, machining throttle bodies, redrilling cylinder bolt patterns, making pushrods, rocker arms kits, and stroker arm kits.

We will also continue making our specialty items such as FI air-gap intakes, plenum covers repair kits, distributor gears, along with cams, lifter, spring and retainers, timing chains, engine bearing, block girdle kits, valley trays, gaskets, ETC.

What’s it all mean? In our opinion, it means customers are going to get a more focused effort on all the things that make Hughes Engines special like their engineering, their camshafts, and their people. Give the good guys and gals a call at 309-745-9558.

Kent Will

Kent grew up in the shop with his old man and his '70 Charger R/T. His first car was a 1969 Super Bee project when Kent was fourteen. That restoration experience lead to pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a career in manufacturing. Since then, the garage has expanded to include a '67 Satellite, a '72 Scamp, and a 2010 Mopar '10 Challenger.
