And that’s exactly what’s going to happen this upcoming Saturday, April 2nd, 2016, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Coker Tire and Honest Charley’s Garage are readying for a staggering 1,500 cars and motorcycles and upwards to 10,000 spectators to walk the downtown streets of historic Chattanooga.

The Chattanooga Cruise-In will take place at the beautifully restored Coker Tire and Honest Charley’s facility and the streets surrounding the area, because with literally thousands of cars and motorcycles, you’re gonna need all the space you can get! And of course, there will be tours of the Coker HQ as well as vendors and tons of local food from Bitler Bistro, Shuford’s Smokehouse BBQ, T-Bones Sports Cafe and Southside Saloon & Bistro. Local Businesses, Coker Tire and Honest Charley Host Cruise In—Saturday, April 2nd, 10am-4pm
Chattanooga, TN – Event organizers of the Chattanooga Cruise In have announced the date for the 2016 event, held in the historic Southside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. On Saturday, April 2nd, from 10am-4pm, the Chattanooga Cruise In will take place, attracting collector vehicles to the downtown area from surrounding towns and states. Cars begin arriving early in the morning, and pour in all day long, filling every street and parking lot in the area. The event has exceeded its capacity on several occasions, but event organizers have secured additional spaces to accommodate an even larger turnout.

Representatives from Coker Tire Company expect more than 1,500 collector vehicles and upward of 10,000 spectators to attend the event. This event is free to the public, whether you’re entering a car or simply walking around to view the cars, trucks and motorcycles in attendance. Where else are you going to see 1,500 of the finest collector vehicles in the Southeast without paying a dime?

The Chattanooga Cruise In is held on the streets surrounding the Coker Tire headquarters, which is located on the Southside, between the Chattanooga Convention Center and Finley Stadium on Chestnut Street. Coker Tire and all of its companies will hold an open house, encouraging participants to tour the facilities and check out everything the companies have to offer. The open house includes tours of Corky Coker’s museum, which is packed with vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines and memorabilia.

Special event T-shirts are available for only $10, and supplies are limited! Coker Tire, Honest Charley and other local vendors offer door prizes, which are given away at 2pm in front of the Coker Tire facility.

Most of the streets surrounding Coker Tire will be blocked off to provide adequate space for the cruise in participants, and the participant entrance to the cruise in will be at the intersection of Main and Chestnut Streets. This year, the Chattanooga Cruise In has been able to secure the entire North parking lot at Finley Stadium, providing 600 additional parking spaces for cruise in participants. Spectator parking is first come, first serve in the South Finley Stadium parking lot, as well as the streets surrounding the event.

The Chattanooga Cruise In is a rain-or-shine event, and spectators can expect to see some of the nicest cars and trucks in the area, along with a number of car enthusiasts who travel from Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Kentucky and Ohio to participate.

Along with the great display of cars, the Chattanooga Cruise In will feature local food vendors, such as Bitler Bistro, Shuford’s Smokehouse BBQ and more! Local restaurants, T-Bones Sports Cafe and Southside Saloon & Bistro sponsor the event, and will be open for business during the cruise in. Other sponsors of the event include American Powertrain, Southern Auto Body Supply, Somernites Cruise and Chattanooga Golf Carts.
