Not everyone needs a big, fat 200-amp alternator to run an arsenal of accessories. Proform’s new chrome one-wire mini alternator is the perfect fit with its stout 50-amp output contained in a lightweight, compact package that weighs in at just 6 pounds. Adding to a lineup that already includes black crinkle and polished finishes, it’s clad in a high-quality chrome for some visual flair. The familiar Nippondenso-style case is topped off with a V-belt pulley for vintage applications.
One-wire hookup simplifies installation although, since it was never offered from the factory, most Chryslers will require some wiring and bracket modifications.
